Tuesday Night Girls Hoops Recap: Livingston Wins Double Overtime Battle With Pickett Co

Livingston Academy 63, Pickett County 59 (2OT)

Livingston Academy had to battle through eight extra minutes of game-time, but they took home a 63-59 win over Pickett County.

Aleah Melton led the way for the Lady Cats with 14 points, while Hailey Cronk scored 12 points. Keaton Webb added 11 points, and Alexis Phipps scored 10 points.

For Pickett County, Kyndal Ludick led all scorers with 18 points, while Abbi Bilbrey scored 15 points. Chloe Burton scored 12 points.

Livingston will host Upperman on Friday, while Pickett County will hit the road to Cookeville.

White County 47, Cumberland County 42

The White County Warriorettes got off to a slow start in the first half and trailed the Lady Jets 17-15 at halftime, but a quick start to the fourth quarter led them to a 47-42 win.

Gracie Dodgen led all scorers with 19 points, while Nia Powers used a strong fourth-quarter to scored 15 points.

The turning point was the third quarter, where White County only allowed eight points to take a 26-25 lead into the final quarter. There, they outscored Cumberland County 21-17 en route to the victory.

White County will be off until Monday when they host Sequatchie County.

Macon County 70, Clay County 54

The Lady Bulldogs battled on Tuesday night against Macon County, but fell short to the Tigerettes by a final score of 70-54.

The first half got off to a slow start for Clay County, as they only managed 17 points and trailed by 17 at halftime. They battled back and cut the lead down a little in the second half, but the deficit was just too much.

Briley Burchett scored 17 points and grabbed nine boards, while Katie Arms scored 13 points. Rachel Copass added 10 points.

Clay County will host district foe Clarkrange on Friday.
