Bulldog Defense Holds Late In Win Over Pickett Co

The Clay County Bulldogs defeated the Pickett County Bobcats on Tuesday by a final score of 57-55.

The two teams fought back-and-forth all night, but the difference in the game proved to be the first quarter.

The Bulldogs out-scored the Bobcats by a 21-13 count, and used their defense to limit the Pickett offense enough to take home the win.

Pickett’s Zach Amonett led all scorers with 16 points, while John Parker Reagan scored 15. Will Amonett added 13.

Grant Strong led Clay with 15 points of his own, while Jeff Spivey scored 12 points.

Clay takes on Red Boiling Springs on Friday, while Pickett will play Jackson County.
