Dragonettes Use Defense To Defeat Smith Co

The York Institute Dragonettes defeated Smith County on Tuesday by a final score of 54-30.

The York defense dominated early in the game, as they held a 14-3 advantage after the first quarter. The lead grew in the second quarter, and the Dragonettes walked into the halftime break with a 27-7 lead.

The lead was too much for Smith to overcome, and York left with a dominant 54-30 victory.

Haylee Johnson led the Dragonettes with 11 points, while Sage Smith added 10 of her own.

The Dragonettes’ next contest will be on Friday when they take on Macon County.
