Aldino Leads First Team With Four-Touchdown Performance

DeKalb County Quarterback Axel Aldino led the Tigers to a 38-15 win over Spring Hill on Friday in the first round of the State Playoffs.

He now also leads the First Bank First Team for the week ending on Nov.6.

First Bank First Teamers

Colby Barnes (DeKalb County): Barnes added to a balanced rushing attack for the Tigers with a touchdown of his own on the ground in the third quarter.

Brison Burchett (Clay County): Burchett was one of two Bulldogs to make a big impact on both sides of the ball in their 21-0 win over Copper Basin. He caught a touchdown pass from Keaton Arms, and also recorded an interception on defense to help pull off the shutout.

Carson Sharp (Clay County): Sharp did the exact same thing Burchett did, as he hauled in a touchdown reception and picked off a pass on defense. Sharp also rushed for 103 yards on the ground.

Ty Dutchess (Upperman): Dutchess was unstoppable on the ground on Friday in the Bees’ 43-41 win over Signal Mountain. He toted the ball 24 times for 122 yards and four touchdowns, including the game-winner in overtime.

C.J. Taylor (Warren County): The Class 6A Mr. Football Semifinalist wrapped up his season with a 196-yard, two-touchdown performance against Mt. Juliet. He scored from 13 and 74 yards out for both Pioneer touchdowns.

Terrance Dedmon (Upperman): Dedmon added another threat on the ground for the Bees, as he carried the ball 13 times for 71 yards and two touchdowns.
