Two UC Athletes Named Miss Basketball Finalists

The TSSAA announced the list of finalists for the 2023 Miss Basketball and Mr. Basketball Award today. Two Upper Cumberland athletes made the list.

York Institute sophomore Reese Beaty was named as a finalist in Class AA. Beaty has led the Dragonnettes to a 24-2 record this season and undefeated in district play so far.

Upperman senior Abigail Johnson was named as a finalist in Class AAA. Johnson has led the Lady Bees to a 24-3 overall record and 9-2 so far in 7-AAA.
