Mr. Basketball Spotlight: Warren County’s C.J. Taylor

With the regular season for boys and girls basketball hitting the home stretch, we will be spotlighting different Mr. and Miss Basketball candidates around the Upper Cumberland.

Today, we take a look at Warren County Senior C.J. Taylor.

Taylor has been on a tear as of late, as he scored 38 points twice last week in wins over Coffee County and Rhea County. Currently, he has the Pioneers positioned in the top spot of District 6-AAA with a chance to clinch the top seed and homecourt advantage throughout the district tournament with a win against Cookeville on Tuesday.

Taylor has also been a top performer academically, as demonstrated by his admission to Vanderbilt where he will continue his football career.
