Lady Eaglettes Basketball Falls To Watertown In OT

The Van Buren County Eaglettes fell in overtime 50 to 47 against Watertown in the second round of the Aflac Christmas Tournament, Friday night in Watertown.

After the first half of play the game was tied at 23. At the end of regulation Van Buren county and Watertown were knotted up at 44. Watertown outscored the Eaglettes six to three in the extra period.

Neither team shot well from the free throw line Friday night. Van Buren County hit only 10 of their 21 attempts while Watertown hit six of their 16 tries.

Van Buren County will play in the third place game Saturday afternoon at 4 P.M. against Cookeville.
