Van Buren Baseball Coach Joey Williamson On The Season So Far

A team that is fun to be around is most any coaches dream. A young team that is fun to be around can be even more encouraging because you know what the future holds.

That is where head coach Joey Williamson from Van Buren County finds himself. A young coach, with a young team, that is fun to be around and fun to watch.

Because they play up on the mountain, and in so many other small communities like Spencer, they have not been able to play as many games as they would like, but believe me, it is not for lack of trying.

Coach Williamson hates cancelling, and he does all he can to avoid doing it.

With that being said, over the next week or two at least, it won’t be his decision. Coach Williamson will be with his wife as she gives birth and he welcomes fatherhood to the list of responsibilities.

He admitted he was excited of course about fatherhood, but also admitted he will miss his guys and the team.
