Lady Cavs Take Loss In Defensive Struggle Against Westmoreland

The Lady Cavaliers of Cookeville lost a defensive struggle to Westmoreland Friday night 35 to 22 in the second round of the Aflac Christmas Tournament in Watertown.

Through the first 10 games of the season Cookeville averages just a shade under 60 point per game. Westmoreland found a way to keep the Lady Cavs from scoring more than eight points in any quarter.

Emma Webb led Cookeville in scoring with six points. KK Graves added five points and Cassie Shope and Jordan Gilles each scored four points. Katie Dunaway closed out the scoring for the Lady Cavs with three points.

Cookeville play Van Buren County for the third place game Saturday afternoon at 4 P.M.
