Lady Bobcat Basketball Dominates Gordonsville

The Pickett County Lady Bobcats defeated Gordonsville on Friday by a final score of 73-34.

The game got off to a hot start for the Pickett County defense, as they held Gordonsville to only two points in the first quarter. While the two teams tied in the second, this led to a 37-23 lead for the Lady Bobcats.

The second half is where the game shifted heavily in Pickett’s favor, as they outscored Gordonsville 36-11 over the final two frames en route to a 73-34 win.

Five Lady Bobcats scored in double figures, as Kyndal Ludwick and Shayla Wood tied for game-high honors with 14 points apiece. Bailey Evans scored 12 points, and Abbi Bilbrey and Chloe Burton each added 11.

Abby Gochoff led Gordonsville with 12 points.
