Cookeville Lady Cavaliers Head Coach Jordan Webb Discussed The Season So Far

A 9-3 start is nothing to scoff at for any team on the diamond, and the Lady Cavaliers of Cookeville high school know that.

Head Coach Jordan Webb was quick to point out, however, when we spoke with him, that his team still has room to grow.

A tough loss to Lebanon in which shortcomings reared their head showed the Lady Cavs where they must grow and improve quickly as two very challenging and talent rich tournaments come up on their schedule over the next two weeks.

Halls, Rhea County, and Dobyns-Bennett all await Cookeville in those tournaments but a veteran Lady Cavaliers team is poised to weather the storms and come out of it prepared for the gauntlet of district play.

Coach Webb discussed preparing for the tournaments, the loss at Lebanon, and why he feels 9-3 is not a ‘red hot’ start for his team.
