Lady Bulldogs Lose To Trousdale, Fall Short Of Region

The Clay County Lady Bulldogs saw their season cut short on Wednesday when they fell to Trousdale County by a final score of 66-58.

Trailing 17-12 after the first quarter, Clay seemingly took control of the game in the second by out-scoring Trousdale by a 21-10 count to take a 33-27 lead into half.

It didn’t phase Trousdale, as they won the third quarter 19-11 to take a 46-44 lead into the final frame. The youth of Clay County showed in the fourth, as they just couldn’t muster enough offense to come back in a 66-58 loss.

Briley Burchett and Katie Arms led the way with 17 points apiece, while Rachel Copass added 15.
