Eaglettes Pull Away In Third Quarter Against Sequatchie

The Van Buren County girls basketball team beat Sequatchie County 47 to 39, Tuesday night in Spencer.

Van Buren County held a one point halftime edge. The Eaglettes outscored Sequatchie County by 11 in the third for a comfortable 37 to 25 lead as the fourth quarter started.

Emily Allen scored a game high 11 points for Van Buren County. Layla Bouldin and Emma Scoggins each scored 10 points for the Eaglettes.

Van Buren County shot poorly from the free throw line as they hit only 13 of their 32 free throw attempts.

The win improves the Eaglettes overall record to 16-6, and 3-1 in district play. Van Buren County will play at Grundy County Friday night.
