White Co Evens Season Rivalry With Win Against Lady Cavs

The White County girls basketball team beat, their arch rival, Cookeville 61 to 57 Tuesday night in Sparta.

The Warriorettes trailed by one point as the fourth quarter started. White County outscored Cookeville 22 to 17 over the fourth quarter to edge out the Lady Cavaliers.

Gracie Dodgen scored a game high 22 points for White County. Julia Curtis added 14 points and Kendreah Reeves dropped in 11. Alaina Stiles scored 10 points to round out the double digit scorers for White County.

KK Graves led Cookeville with 18 points. Katie Dunaway scored 11 points and Jordan Gillies added in 10 points of her own.

The win improves White County’s record to 18-7, and 3-3 in district play. The Warriorettes play at Cumberland County Friday night.

The Lady Cavaliers record drops to 17-7, 2-3. Cookeville will host Stone Memorial Friday night.
