Bulldogs Take Down Van Buren To Close Season

The Clay County Bulldogs defeated the Van Buren Eagles by a final score of 68-43 on Friday.

The Bulldogs took control of the game in the first half and never looked backed, as they took a 54-26 lead into the locker room.

They were out-scored by three points in the second half, but it wasn’t enough for Van Buren, as Clay County took home the 68-43 win.

Grant Strong led all scorers with 25 points, while Gunnar Silk added 15.

Jacob Guy led Van Buren with 11.

Van Buren will take on Whitwell in their district tournament, while the Bulldogs will await their matchup in the semifinals
