Bulldogs Football Player Passes Away Over Weekend

Clay County football player John Copeland passed away in an automobile accident this weekend. Copeland a junior, played fullback and nose guard for the Bulldogs this past season.

Clay County Principal Derick Upchurch declined a comment out of respect to the family.

Prayer services were held Sunday at the Clay County High School cafeteria as well as the football field house.

Per the Clay County High School Facebook page extra counselors were made available throughout the day on Monday for those in need.
