Win Streak Extended To 13 For Pickett Co Girls Against Wildcats

The fourth ranked, in Class 1A, Lady Bobcats of Pickett County went on the road and beat Monterey 83 to 37 Friday night.

Pickett County scored 20 plus points through the first three quarters to take firm control of the basketball game. On the night Pickett County hit 15 of 18 shots from the free throw line where Monterey hit only three out of their nine attempts.

Kyndal Ludick scored a game high 26 points for Pickett County. Ludick went six of six from the free throw line and she also hit four, threes throughout the contest. Carolann Stockton added in 23 points and Abby Bilbrey and Elly Smith each scored nine points a piece.

Katelynn Morehead led the Lady Wildcats in the scoring department with 10 points. Anna Hudson contributed nine points of her own.

Pickett County improves to 19-1, 7-1 with the win. The loss drops Monterey 4-15, 0-7 on the season.

Pickett County travels to Clarkrange Tuesday in a battle of AP Top 10 teams and Monterey host Van Buren County Saturday night at 6 P.M.
