Upperman Completes Comeback With 4-Run Seventh Against Panthers
The Upperman Bees scored four runs in the seventh inning to comeback from a 5-2 deficit to defeat the Stone Memorial Panthers by a final score of 6-5.
After Upperman scored the first run of the game, Stone answered with a two-run double from Christian Charlton to take a 2-1 lead.
The Panthers added three more runs to take their 5-2 lead into the final frame, where the Bees staged their dramatic comeback.
Carter Shanks drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly, and Brady LeFever drove in another run with an RBI single. Eli Huddleston drove in the game-winning runs with a two-run double to give Upperman the walk-off win.
Huddleston and LaFever led the way at the plate with two RBIs apiece, while Shanks and Eric Farley each drove in a run.
The Bees’ next contest will be on Monday, Mar. 16 when they take on Livingston Academy.
