Lady Cat Softball Sweeps Double-Header Against Gordonsville

The Livingston Academy Lady Cats swept a double-header against Gordonsville on Friday by scores of 4-0 and 7-0.

In game one, it was the Lady Cats who got off to a good start with single runs in the first two innings to take a 2-0 lead.

They added to the lead with two more runs in the fourth, leading to the final score of 4-0.

Jordan Key led the way at the plate with two hits and two runs driven in, while Summer Spears had two hits of her own. Leah Kate Clark pitched three shutout innings in the circle, earning the win.

Spears and Key led the way in game two as well, as they combined for four hits and three more RBIs. Brylee Abbot drove in two more runs, and Abby Stevens drove in one of her own.

Clark pitched 3.1 more innings of shutout ball, and it led to Livingston’s second win of the night.

They will be back in action on Saturday, when they take on Heritage.
