Strong’s 23, Ashlock’s Double-Double Help Bulldogs Defeat Trousdale

The Clay County Bulldogs defeated Trousdale County on Tuesday by a final score of 58-47.

After falling behind 11-8 after the first quarter, the Bulldogs dominated at both ends in the second where they out-scored Trousdale 25-8 to take a 33-19 lead into half.

Clay won the third quarter by a 13-11 count, and even with Trousdale winning the fourth quarter 17-12, it wasn’t enough to keep the Bulldogs from a 58-47 victory.

Grant Strong scored a game-high 23 points, while Jake Ashlock added a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Clay will be back in action on Friday, when they play at Monterey.
