Mr. Basketball Spotlight: Clay County’s Grant Strong

With the regular season for boys and girls basketball hitting the home stretch, we will be spotlighting different Mr. and Miss Basketball candidates around the Upper Cumberland.

Today, we take a look at Clay County Junior Grant Strong.

Strong is having the best season of his young career thus far, as he’s leading all of Class A in scoring at 33.6 points per game. He’s also averaging a double-double with 10.6 rebounds a game, along with four assists a game. Strong is shooting 63.5% from the floor, including a blistering 42.4% from three.

For his career, he’s scored over 1,300 points in roughly two-and-a-half seasons.

Strong has also taken care of business in the classroom, as he’s attained a 3.83 GPA.
