The Lady Pioneers held a two-point lead heading into the final frame of Monday’s contest against Franklin, but they were unable to hold on in a 54-50 loss.

Franklin outscored Warren by a 22-16 count in the fourth quarter to help seal the win.

Mia Hobbs and Shelby Smartt each scored 11 points for the Lady Pioneers, who now sit at 8-7 overall on the season.

Warren will be back in action on Friday when they head to Sparta to take on White County.

Livingston Academy 51, Watertown 45

The Lady Cats played stout defense early in a six-point win over Watertown on Monday.

Livingston only allowed three points in the first quarter, and a mere 17 points in the first half, allowing them to take a 26-17 lead into the halftime break.

They held a 10-point lead after the third quarter, and held on for a 51-45 district victory.

The Lady Cats are now 11-5 overall for the season, and 2-2 in district play.

Aleah Melton led the way with 22 points for Livingston, as they will take on DeKalb County on Tuesday.
