The Wildcats won their second consecutive District 8-AA matchup on Monday with a 61-58 win over Watertown.

Trailing 28-27 at half, LA outscored the Purple Tigers by a 17-12 margin to take a 44-40 advantage into the final frame. Both teams battled back-and-forth, but it was the Wildcats who came out with the win by a final score of 61-58.

Their record now sits at 7-8 overall on the season and 2-2 in district play, with a chance to improve that further against DeKalb County on Tuesday.

Matthew Sells led the effort for the Wildcats with 25 points, and Eli Melton added 14 points. Nick Choate rounded out the double-figure trifecta with 13 points.
