Let Us Help Your Local Business With Shop Therapy

We are experiencing uncertain times as we fight the coronavirus. And this uncertainty creates hardship for local businesses.

The stations of Stonecom want to do something to try to help in weathering this storm. We call it SHOP THERAPY.

It is FREE to local businesses across the Upper Cumberland.

In short, this is a spring debut show on the RADIO and FACEBOOK LIVE. What are the cool new items for spring – or the items that you are excited about that you want to share with the Upper Cumberland.

We will take to the air each day at 3pm beginning mid-week to showcase and auction 10 items from local Upper Cumberland businesses. Our air staff will showcase the items – and we would like for you to join us by phone to tell us the unique features of these products, if you like. We can mention your online shop or you will take orders by phone, if you wish.

Listeners and viewers can bid on the item during the hour online or via phone. We will auction one of the items. You get the money for the auction. We will also provide you the email addresses of consumers who were bidding on the product and who might be interested.

You set the minimum bid. And that’s where the auction begins.

Can someone get a bargain? Sure. But that’s not how this hour will be positioned. This is about supporting local businesses. This is about getting ready for spring. This is the HOME SHOW on the RADIO. This is fashion runway of the Upper Cumberland on the AIR.

It’s a diversion for an anxious community. And it’s a small way we can work together to keep our local business community strong….together.

So what are the cool items your business is offering right now? What’s the fashion item that’s hot? What’s the gadget or gizmo that you want to show off? What tool will help us this spring. Let’s do some SHOP THERAPY together.

• We will put together a schedule based on the interest and get back to you as soon as possible. We need to gauge interest quickly to get this started.

QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE

• How Much Does This Cost? This is a FREE service. Stonecom will take 5 percent of your auction price to cover the credit card fees on the auction. You will receive the rest of the auction price.
• How Long Do You Plan To Do This? It will depend on the interest. However, we hope to have so many small businesses interested that we can add a second hour…and extended Saturday shopping.
• How Will It Work On The Air? We will unveil the products available at the top of the hour. We will then talk in depth about the products. We will showcase them a third time. And then, we will give listeners/viewers a final Shop Therapy warning that the items will sell. This means your business will get at least four mentions during the hour.
• What Kind Of Items Can I Showcase? Focus on the new, the cool, the hot, the things that will get people excited about your business. We don’t see this as a bargain hunt. This is not about selling stuff that’s been sitting around. Think of what you would bring to a spring home show or spring fashion show.
• Is Their A Minimum Or Maximum Value Of The Product? We think $25-$150 is a good range. A cool piece of lawn gear might be higher.
• Can Service Providers Participate? Absolutely! Come up with a cool offer!
• Could A Restaurant Participate? Absolutely! Tell us about something special you are cooking tomorrow. Mom’s special pie or this unique recipe you will have available for takeout. You could sell a gift card – or a 4-person serving of that special dish.
• How Will Fulfillment Work? We will share that information with you once we set up the plan. We simply now are trying to see if local businesses want to be a part.
