Bobcats Baseball Prepares For Shortened Season

All the baseball coaches in District Six, Single A have decided to play an abbreviated schedule, based upon the East and West divisions in their district.

This plan is based upon the hope that most schools in the Upper Cumberland would be back in on April the 6th. Teams would use that week as a spring training week to prepare for the last three weeks of the months games.

Teams would play a Monday and Tuesday home and away series, with teams in their division, that would begin on April 13th and go through the 27th.

The East division is composed of Clarkrange, Jackson County, Monterey, and Pickett County. The West division’s made up of Clay County, Gordonsville, Red Boiling Springs, and Trousdale County.

Pickett County would host Monterey on April the 13th. The Bobcats would turn around and play on Tuesday against Monterey on the road.

Head coach Jamie Cravens stated that the Thursday and Friday non district schedule would remain the same for the Bobcats.

Pickett County would host Van Buren County on Thursday April 16th. The Bobcats would travel to Cannon County on Friday the 17th.

Pickett County would start a home and away series with Jackson County on Monday April the 20th and Tuesday the 21st. The Bobcats would play at home on Monday and at Jackson County on Tuesday.

Friday, April the 24th would see Pickett Count square off against Cumberland County (KY).

April 27th and 28th would pit the Bobcats in a two game series against Clarkrange. Pickett County would travel to Clarkrange on Monday, the 27th. On Tuesday the 28th Pickett County would host Clarkrange.

The District Six, Single A tournament would begin on the week of May 4th.
