By Lady Cavs Sign To Play College Softball
Putnam County has seen a surge of signings over the last week.
Two Upperman baseball players put pen to paper (article link below) and at the same time, two young ladies at Cookeville are also taking the opportunity to continue their career beyond high school.
Laylah Turner and Julie Martin are two parts of a class that entered as freshman, and head coach Jordan Webb knew they, along with a few others, had a chance to rewrite the program and play beyond high school.
Martin signed on Friday morning to stay home and be a Lady Eagle at TN Tech, while Turner is looking to go out of state and play at Missouri S&T.
We spoke with both young ladies, and coach Webb, about this tremendous honor and accomplishment.
