Eagles and Eaglettes Golf Teams Show Improvement This Week

Van Buren County’s boys and girls golf teams competed in two matches throughout this past week. The first match of the week came Monday afternoon against Monterey and Smith County and the Golden Eagle Country Club, in Cookeville.

Chas Moffitt led the way for the Eagles with a nine hole low round of 55. Dylan Simmons and Rance McBride each carded 61’s. On the girls side Morgan Bouldin shot a 58 for her nine holes. Jessica Delong followed up with a 63.

Thursday afternoon’s match paired and Eagles and Eaglettes with Cannon County at Fall Creek Falls State Park, in Spencer. Moffit showed an eight stroke improvement, from Monday’s score, as he fired a 47. Adam Simmons carded a 53 while Dylan Simmons finished his round with a 63.

Morgan Bouldin finished her day with a 59 and Jessica Delong carded a 67.
