Bobcats Golf Battles Clay Co Closely At Southern Hills
Pickett County’s boys golf team faced off against Clay County Thursday afternoon at Southern Hills, in Baxter. The five of the top six golfers were separated by only three strokes.
Hunter Wattenbarger carded the low round for the Bobcats with a 46 while Heath Wattenbarger fired in a 47. Justin Altenes finished his day with a 61.
Clay County’s Aden Smith carded a low round of 37. Jeff Spivey finished his nine hole round with a 45. Colton Smith was close behind with a 47 while Zach Schmucker shot a 48.
Both Clay and Pickett County golf teams will play again next Thursday afternoon at Hidden Valley Golf and Country Club, in Livingston, against Upperman and Jackson County.
