Lady Cavs Fall In Thriller To Ravenwood

The Cookeville Lady Cavs Volleyball team saw their season come to an end on Tuesday in a dramatic loss to Ravenwood.

After falling in the first set 27-25, the Lady Cavs powered back to take the second set by a 25-18 count.

Ravenwood bounced right back however, as they won the third set by a score of 25-16. In need of a win to keep their season alive, the Lady Cavs played one of their best sets of the day to win the fourth frame by a mark of 25-19.

This sent the game to the all-decisive fifth and final set. After both teams traded blows to start the set, Cookeville used a big run to take a 13-6 lead that put them within two points of winning the match.

Ravenwood fought back to tie the set at 15 however, and after both teams failed to put each other away, Ravenwood ended Cookeville’s season with three straight points to win the match at 20-18.
