Cavaliers Use Big Second Half To Defeat Stone Memorial

The Cookeville Cavaliers defeated the Stone Memorial Panthers on Monday by a final score of 62-46.

Both teams struggled on offense in the first half, but it was the Cookeville defense that shined by only giving up six second-quarter points. This enabled them to take a 23-20 lead into halftime.

The Cavalier offense exploded in the second half, as they out-scored Stone 39-26 to finish off the 16-point victory.

Bailey Gilliam led the Cavs with 14 points, while Zach Hall and Braiden Brown scored 12 apiece. Lucas Reeves added 11.

The Cavaliers will play Warren County next on Tuesday, while Stone Memorial will take on Clarkrange.
