Tessa Miller and Emma Capps combined for 40 points in Stone Memorial’s 55 points in their 55-45 win over Cookeville on Monday night.
Thought the game was close near the midway point of the second quarter, Stone closed the period with a 12-0 flurry to take a 15-point lead into halftime.
Cookeville had numerous chances at the rim in the second half and cut the lead down a little, but ultimately couldn’t make the comeback in a 55-45 Stone Memorial victory.
Miller led all scorers with 22 points, while Capps added 18 points.
KK Graves led Cookeville with eight points.
The Lady Cavs will take on Warren County on Tuesday, while Stone plays Clarkrange.
