Cavaliers Struggle After First Quarter Against Blackman

The Cookeville Cavaliers (5-5) lost their regular season finale Friday night against Blackman 49-7 Friday night in Murfreesboro.

Blackman scored 42 unanswered points from the second to the fourth quarters. Blackman out gained Cookeville by over 250 yards throughout the contest.

Junior quarterback Stockton Owen completed 6/14 passes for 102 yards and an interception. Owen ran the ball six times for 28 yards.

Running back Cameron Harris rushed eight times for 12 yards and the Cavaliers lone score on the night.

Brayden Nivens hauled in one pass for 46 yards and BJ Billen caught one ball for 37 yards. Harris Cravens hauled in one reception for 12 yards.

Cookeville finished the season in the fourth and final playoff spot in Region 3.

The Cavaliers travels to Hendersonville next Friday night to take on the Hendersonville Commandos (5-5) who won Region 4.
