Clay Co. Defeats Red Boiling Springs To Close Regular Season

The Clay County Bulldogs (7-3) finished their regular season with a 48-0 win over Red Boiling Springs.

Quarterback Jake Ashlock finished the game by completing eight of his nine passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns, and the touchdowns were caught by Jimmy Burchett and Alec Kerr.

The ground game for Clay County owned the night, as they rushed for 199 yards on 26 carries and five touchdowns. Will Ogletree led the way individually with 84 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.

Joseph Marcom added 56 yards and two touchdowns on three carries.

With the win, Clay County solidified their positioning for the playoffs, which begin next week. They will host Sale Creek at 7 P.M.
