Buzzer-Beater Falls Short, Cavs Fall To Lebanon

The Cookeville Cavaliers battled late into the fourth on Tuesday, but they fell in Head Coach Josh Heard’s debut to Lebanon by a final score of 68-65.

The second quarter proved to be the downfall of the Cavs, as Lebanon outscored them by a 28-16 count to take a 41-33 lead into the halftime break.

The Cavs won the second half by a 32-27 margin, but a three-point shot at the buzzer was just off the mark and Lebanon escaped with a 68-65 victory.

The Cavaliers will be back in action on Saturday against in the Hall of Fame play-day.
