Bulldog Defense Suffocates Van Buren In Win

The Clay County Bulldogs were firing on all cylinders on Tuesday, as they defeated Van Buren by a final score of 80-41.

Van Buren struggled on offense from the jump, as they managed a mere 15 first-half points. Meanwhile on the other side, Clay had no trouble scoring and put up 39 points and took control of the game.

By the time the Eagles got any offense going, it was way too late. Clay ran away with this one, winning by a final score of 80-41.

Grant Strong had a game-high 28 points for Clay, and Jake Ashlock added 15 points and eight rebounds.

For Van Buren, Steven England had 15 points and John Allen added 10.

Clay County’s next matchup will be at Cannon County on Nov. 29, while Van Buren will take on Monterey on Dec. 3.
