Bees Suffocate Signal Mountain In Round One
The only thing that slowed down the Upperman Bees turned out to be a 17 plus minute power outage early in the first half. The Bees rolled to a 45-0 victory Friday night in Baxter.
Ty Dutchess opened drew first blood with a 13 yard touchdown scamper in the first quarter.
Kicker Trey Krolik tacked on a 34 yard field goal with four minute to play in the first half.
All-state semifinalist Donoven McCallister scored the next three touchdowns for Upperman. MCCallister scored for 21 yards out with 23 seconds to play in the second quarter.
McCallister ripped off a 41 yard touchdown run early in the third quarter and McCallister tacked on a 27 yard touchdown run on Upperman’s next drive that extended the Upperman lead to 31-0.
The Dutchess brothers closed out the onslaught for Upperman. Senior Jake Dutchess recovered a fumble and returned it 27 yards for a touchdown.
Ty Dutchess plowed his way into the end zone with 11:23 to play in the fourth.
Upperman welcomes Red Bank to Baxter next Thursday night at 7 P.M.
