Dragons Lose Against Loudon Co. In Playoffs

The number three ranked team, in Class 3A, Loudon County Redskins took advantage of early turnovers from York Institute en route to a 49-14 victory Friday night.

York found themselves in a 28 point hole when Dalton Barger capped off a seven play 80 yard touchdown drive with a seven yard touchdown run.

Barger rushed five times for 17 yards and the first touchdown of the night for the Dragons. Barger completed one of four passes for nine yards and an interception.

Zack Gibson ran the ball 17 times for 147 yards to lead the way for York on the ground.

Thomas Miller ran 19 times for 93 yards and a 39 yard touchdown run mid way through the third quarter that cut the Loudon lead to 28-14.

Loudon County went on to score three touchdowns through the remainder of the second half.

Loudon County will host Smith County next week in Loudon at 7 P.M.
