It is no secret that nobody loves the dog days of summer workouts.

It is, however, where teams can be built and guys can change their bodies and mindsets.

It can humble you, and it can pump you up.

For Eli Cox and Ethan Bullock, two Upperman senior football players, it has done both.

They have overhauled their bodies, changed positions, and helped continue to cultivate a very distinct and dynamic culture under head coach Adam Caine.

It comes with key phrases, ideas, and attitudes. All three of which Cox and Bullock displayed in spades as we spoke with them just before the start of the dead period last week.
