Bees, Lady Bees Each Crack USA Today Top 10
The Upperman Bees and Lady Bees were both named to the USA Today Network’s Top 10 Nashville area teams on Monday.
The Lady Bees ranked second overall, just behind Ensworth. This comes by way of an undefeated 17-o start for Upperman, with their last win coming on Saturday over Smith County by a 66-38 score.
Reagan Hurst led all scorers with 26 in the win, and she is currently up for the High School Girls Athlete of the Week award for last week.
The Bees ranked ninth overall, as they were ranked ahead of Goodpasture in the top 10. The Bees went 3-0 last week with wins over Livingston Academy, Watertown and Smith County, pushing their record to 11-3 on the year. The boys are also undefeated in district play, as they sit at 4-0.
Both teams are scheduled to be back in action on Tuesday, as they head to Smithville to take on DeKalb County.
