Allen Scores Back-To-Back 20-Point Games To Lead First Team

The Van Buren Eaglettes returned from a two-week break with a vengeance last week, as they defeated Silverdale Academy and Marion County handily.

Emily Allen led the way in both games, as she scored 22 against Silverdale Academy and 21 against Marion County.

She also led the First Bank First Team for the Week of Dec. 7.

First Bank First Team

Zach Amonett (Pickett County): Amonett led the Bobcats to a 67-50 win over Monterey with 26 points.

Grant Slatten (White County):  Slatten scored 37 points to lead the Warriors over Science Hill, and then followed it up with a 39-point outing against Volunteer.

Jordan Young (DeKalb County): Young led the Tigers to a big district win over Watertown with 23 points.

Jalynn Baldwin (Cumberland County):  The freshman put together the best game of her young career, as she put together a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double in a 64-30 win over Sequatchie County.

Addison Frazier (White County): Frazier had the Warriorette offense humming along smoothly in back-to-back games against Science Hill and Volunteer, as she totaled 18 assists and only two turnovers in two wins.

Evan Jones (DeKalb County): Jones was a physical presence in the paint for the Tigers against Watertown with 19 points.

Emma Scoggins (Van Buren): Scoggins aided Allen’s efforts with 19 points of her own against Marion County. She also added 10 against Silverdale.
