AD Dustin Sullivan Discusses Being a Small School AD and Spring Sports Stresses

There is no busier time in the TSSAA calendar than the Spring.

Sports like Track and Field, Boys Soccer, Tennis, Baseball, and Softball all are in season at most every high school. Not to mention more obscure, but equally important sports such as Lacrosse, which of course is set to be made an official TSSAA sport in the near future; as well as Archery or Fishing which several schools offer.

One such school of course is Van Buren County High. Not only do they have archery and fishing, which they are quite good at, but they also co-op sports like track and field as well as soccer with White County.

Behind all those moving pieces is Dustin Sullivan. Athletic Director, Boys Basketball Coach, and twenty plus year member of the staff there at the school.

How does he combat it all? We asked that, and more, in a sit down with him and got some pretty unique answers.
