A First Year Football Senior

It’s rare you see young athletes come to a game for the first time in high school.

It happens, sure, but even when it does it is normally their freshman or even sophomore year.

If an upperclassmen picks a new sport, it is also normally not something they originally considered, because it doesn’t get much notoriety. Tennis, soccer, cross country, track, etc.

Never have I at least, seen a senior decide to play football their senior year. That is what Andrew Smith will be doing at Clay County however.

Why? Well, we let him answer that. Among other things that naturally follow up in a totally unprecedented situation like this.
