Jets Fall In First Match Ups Against Stone Memorial

Both Stone Memorial basketball teams came away with wins against Cumberland County Saturday evening in Crossville.

The Lady Panthers jumped out a 38 to 22 halftime lead. Stone Memorial would score 27 third quarter points to put the game out of reach. Stone Memorial would go on to win 76 to 43

Stone Memorial’s Emma Capps led all scorers with 23 points. Anna Goss added 18 points and Tessa Miller scored 16 points to round out the double digit scorers for Stone Memorial.

The Stone Memorial boys used a big defensive fourth quarter to pull away from their cross town rivals. The Panthers outscored the Jets by 13 for their final margin of victory of 61 to 46.

Chris Coudriet led stone Memorial in scoring with 17 points and his teammate Hunter Wattenbarger scored 14 points.

Mason Wyatt led the Jets in scoring with 11 points.

Stone Memorial will play again Monday night against Farragut at 5:30 P.M.
