York Takes Down Lady Cats Behind Johnson’s 17

The York Institute Dragonettes defeated the Livingston Academy Lady Cats by a 55-32 count on Friday.

Holding a six-point lead in the second quarter, York stretched the lead by out-scoring Livingston 16-5 in the frame to take a 31-14 lead into halftime.

The Dragonettes’ defense took over in the second half, as they held the Lady Cats to just 18 points in the final two quarters en route to the 55-32 win.

Junior Haylee Johnson led all with 17 points, while freshman Gabby Beaty added 14.

Keaton Webb led Livingston with 11 points.

York will play at Watertown on Tuesday, while Livingston hosts Cannon County.
