Wildcats Move Up Three Spots In AP Top 10

The boys basketball team in Monterey moved up from ninth place to sixth place in this weeks Associated Presses Top 10 Class 1A state wide poll.
On Tuesday Monterey earned a 52 t0 48 road victory over Red Boiling Springs.  Friday night the Wildcats welcomed the number two ranked Clay County Bulldogs to Monterey for a Top 10 showdown. Monterey won a tightly contested matchup, 74 to 68 Clay County.
The Wildcats have three games on the docket this week. Monday against F.C. Boyd, Sr. Christian.
Tuesday Monterey travels to Jackson County for a important district game against the Blue Devils. Monterey will head to Fentress County Friday night as they take on another district opponent in the Clarkrange Buffaloes.
