Wildcats Golf Improves to 4-1 On the Season

The Monterey Wildcat boys golf team picked up their fourth win of the season, in a nine hole match against Clarkrange, DeKalb County, and York, Tuesday afternoon at Cumberland Cove.

The Wildcats scored a combined four man score of 197 on the afternoon. York finished second with a 208. DeKalb County brought home third place with a 210 and Clarkrange finished the day with a 228. Landon Raines tied for the low round of the day with a 44, at his home course. John Looney followed closely behind with a 49. Issac Howard ended his day with a 50 and teammate J.W. Holloway closed his day out with a 54.

The Monterey girls finished in third on the afternoon with a score of 116. Clarkrange won the day with a 101 and DeKalb County finished second with a 115. Zoie Jernigan led the Lady Wildcats with a 54. Zaire Jernigan closed her round out with a 60.
