Wildcat Golf Takes Two From Smith Co

The Monterey Wildcat boys and girls golf teams each won their match ups against Smith County and Van Buren County in a nine hole match, Monday afternoon at the Golden Eagle Country Club.

The Monterey girls team beat out Van Buren County by a total of five strokes. Kairen Phillips shot the low round for all girls, on Monday, with a 53. Teammate Zoie Jernigan followed Phillips with a 61 to give them a two girl total of 114.

One the boys side the Wildcats ran away with a 184 to 222 win over the Smith County Owls. Landon Raines finished his day with a low round of 45. Issac Howard fired in a 46 and teammates J.W. Holloway and John Looney shot a 51 and 52, respectively.
