Wildcat Football Rolls Into Playoffs After Win Over Macon Co.

The Livingston Academy Wildcats (10-0) completed a perfect regular season with a 42-6 win over Macon County on Friday.

The Wildcats dominated from the jump, as Aubrey Hollars hauled in a touchdown pass to open the scoring at 7-0 in the first quarter.

Quarterback Will McDonald then proceeded to hook up twice with Wesley Smith in the first half to help push the lead to 21-0 in favor of LA, before finding Raven Carpenter for his fourth touchdown of the first half to run the deficit to 28-0.

Following a Macon County score, McDonald found Smith for the third time to give the Wildcats a 35-6 lead going into halftime.

McDonald’s final touchdown of the game came in the third quarter when he found Carpenter again. This put the lead at its final margin of 42-6.

McDonald finished the night 23-30 for 340  yards and six touchdown passes. Those six touchdown passes are a school record.

Livingston Academy will host a playoff game next week, as they take on Maplewood at 7 P.M.
