White Co, Van Buren Tuesday Games Cancelled

The White County Warriors and Van Buren Eagles are the latest teams to have games cancelled, as both had their Tuesday night matchups called off.

White County was set to face Wilson Central in Lebanon, but according to Head Coach Eric Mitchell, both the boys and girls games have been cancelled. The two teams split the meetings earlier this year in Sparta, as the Warriorettes took home a 78-16 win.

The Warriors took a tough 65-53 loss in the Nov. 23 meeting. White County’s next scheduled contest is on Friday when they host Coffee County.

Likewise, Van Buren’s games at Sale Creek have been cancelled due to Hamilton County regulations, according to Van Buren Athletic Director and Boys Basketball Coach Dustin Sullivan.

The Eaglettes are coming off of a 48-35 win over Jackson County, while the Eagles are trying to end a two-game losing streak.

Their next scheduled game is set for Thursday at Monterey.
