Van Buren Volleyball Coach Returns After Long Absence

Ann Simmons returns to leading a volleyball program after being away for nine years.

“I love volleyball” she would remark as we spoke and certainly you could hear that love and passion as we sat and discussed her return.

She inherits a worthwhile and deep squad. Five seniors, who according to her are pushing the underclassmen and helping them grow quickly.

Simmons also will have her daughter, a former player for her, as her assistant as well.

An energetic assistant, five experienced seniors, and a veteran coach who every day gets back in the groove, this is a Lady Eagles team that can make some noise.

The one question, the Labero position, who will it be, that is yet to be determined.
